------------------------ SUMMARY ----------------------------------
BiblioFile is a PLMS - Personal Library Management System. With
configurable reports and detailed information tracking, it is a
powerful yet easy way to track a personal, professional, or
company library.
------------------ TO INSTALL AND RUN -----------------------------
To install BiblioFile, simply copy all the files to the
appropriate location and then just type BF. All necessary file
configuration will be done automatically.
One example of the keystrokes for installation might be:
Command Action
C: <Enter> Change to the C: drive, your hard drive.
CD\ <Enter> Make sure you are in the root directory.
MD\BF <Enter> Make a directory called BF for BiblioFile.
CD\BF <Enter> Change to the BF directory.
COPY A:*.* <Enter> Copy all the files from the A: drive. This
assumes that the BiblioFile files are on a
floppy disk in the A: drive.
BF <Enter> Start the BiblioFile program.
NOTE: Because of the file creation that takes place on startup
and the read/write nature of a database, BiblioFile cannot
be run from CDROM media. If you received BiblioFile on
CDROM, please copy it to another disk before attempting to
run it.
------------------------ FILE LIST --------------------------------
The files in this package can be identified as follows:
BF.EXE - The executable BiblioFile program. This is the
only file absolutely necessary to run
BiblioFile. All other required files will be
created by the program as needed.
BF.DOC - The BiblioFile manual.
README - This file.
FILE_ID.DIZ - Short program description for distribution
services.
OMBUDSMN.ASP - Information about the ASP.
REGISTER.FRM - The BiblioFile order form.
WHATSNEW.DOC - Tells about new features in this version.
The following files will be created when BiblioFile runs for the
first time and will be automatically recreated if they are ever
deleted.
*.DBF - Various database file.
*.IND - Corresponding index files.
BF.CFG - Configuration options.
